To create an account, a valid credit card is required to prevent service interruptions and maintain platform integrity. To verify that the card is valid, MASV places a $10 pre-authorization charge when you sign up. This is not a fee — it is a temporary authorization used to test the card. The $10 hold is released automatically (most card issuers clear it in less than 7 days). You receive 15 GB of free data transfer every month. Once this free allowance is used, your account automatically transitions to Pay As You Go at $0.25 USD per GB, ensuring no files are left behind. Your card will only be charged if: a) Your monthly data usage exceeds 15 GB, or b) You store files beyond the 5 days of free storage per file included with the plan. MASV pay-as-you-go pricing operates on a usage-based model. Charges are incurred only when data exits the platform. Files shared through MASV enter our secure, accelerated cloud network. When a file exits our network, either as a download to a machine or an upload to connected storage, we apply an egress fee per gigabyte. Other pricing options include annual subscriptions with monthly payments, pre-purchases, or custom enterprise plans. 

We offer four options: Pay As You Go, Subscription, Pre-buy, and Enterprise. The Pay As You Go comes with a free 15 GB monthly credit. Once this credit is depleted, Pay-As-You-Go pricing applies. Subscription is ideal for daily transfers, providing monthly refreshed transfer volume at a lower cost than tiered Pay As-You-Go rates. We store uploaded files on our platform for free for 5 days. After the free storage period, we charge $0.07 USD per GB per month to keep your files on our platform.

You may notice that the storage or transfer shown in your account appears slightly more than the round number you purchased. This comes down to the difference between metric and binary (and binary is how computers operate). For example: one metric GB (gigabyte) equals 1,000,000,000 bytes, while one binary GiB (gibibyte) equals 1,073,741,824 bytes. When you purchase 1 TB from MASV, you actually receive 1 TiB (tebibyte) of data, which works out to approximately 1,099 GB – so you're getting a little more than you might expect.

You can sign up for the MASV Starter plan and get 15 GB of data for free every month, to help you test your workflows with no commitment. You'll need to add a credit card to be able to sign up for the Starter plan. After you've used up your monthly 15 GB, we'll bill you at our pay-as-you-go rate of $0.25 per GB until the month turns over.
