Take Back Your Time

Start transferring files as footage is recorded, so teams can start working almost immediately instead of waiting for the event to finish.

Reduce Costs

Shorten upload times and wrap earlier instead of keeping expensive technical staff, OB trucks, and equipment stuck in limbo on site.

Automate Ingest

Configure a Watch Folder and MASV will automatically detect in-progress files, securely sending them to your preferred destination(s) in real time.
Comparison of traditional video production workflow versus MASV optimized workflow, showing how concurrent recording and file transfer eliminates bottlenecks for immediate post-production start times.

Stop Waiting. Start Working.

Post-production and live event pipelines are typically held hostage until the event endm as editors sit idle and on-site crews rack up overtime waiting for finalized files before transfers can begin.

Growing Files breaks this linear bottleneck by enabling uploads to start as files are being written, turning hours of dead time into active post-production.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a growing file?

A growing file is a media file that is simultaneously being written to disk and read or accessed. This is common in live sports and broadcast environments, where a continuous recording can last for hours and grow to hundreds of gigabytes before the event ends.

How do I send a growing file with MASV?

You can send growing files exclusively through the MASV Desktop App. Simply create a Send or Send to Portal automation, select a Watch Folder on your local machine, and check the Send Growing Files box in your automation settings. Any compatible file dropped into that folder will immediately begin transferring.

How does MASV know when the file is finished recording?

The MASV Desktop App continuously monitors the file. By default, it checks the file size every 10 seconds. If the file size does not change during that check, the app recognizes that the recording has stopped and finalizes the transfer.

Can I filter which growing files get uploaded?

Yes. When configuring your Watch Folder automation, you can specify a list of file names or patterns to detect. Only matching files will be uploaded, and all others in the folder will be ignored.
