Helping You Get the Most out of Dropbox

The Challenge

Your collaborators can’t upload files larger than 2 GB to your Dropbox account without a paid plan, and Dropbox transfers can be painfully slow and prone to failure.

  • Size limits hurt: Dropbox severely restricts transfer sizes, making it tough for collaborators to upload large files or datasets to your account.
  • Uploads crawl: Dropbox throttles bandwidth, turning large file transfers into an agonizing wait (no matter how fast your internet connection).
  • Transfers fail: A dropped connection means starting your entire upload over from scratch, which is wasted time you simply can't afford.

The MASV Solution

MASV allows collaborators to sidestep Dropbox’s file size limitations and upload files of up to 375 GB, at full speed and without transfer babysitting.

  • Say goodbye to slow speeds, unreasonable file size limits, and failed transfers with MASV's no-code Dropbox integration.
  • Just connect MASV with a few clicks and start sending or receiving massive files straight to Dropbox.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use MASV to transfer large files to Dropbox?

Yes, the MASV and Dropbox integration is the best way to send large files to Dropbox. MASV makes it easy to send up to 375 GB to Dropbox from any browser.

How is MASV so fast?

MASV uses a global network of cloud infrastructure strategically positioned around the world to move your files via the fastest possible route. Unlike Dropbox, MASV never throttles your bandwidth, so you always transfer at the maximum speed your internet connection allows. Combined with intelligent multipart uploading that breaks large files into chunks and sends them simultaneously, MASV consistently delivers the fastest possible transfer speeds, no matter where you are or how large your files are.

How is MASV so reliable?

Unlike standard file sharing tools, MASV uses automatic resumable uploads – meaning if your connection drops mid-transfer, your upload picks up exactly where it left off, not from the beginning. Combined with continuous transfer monitoring, checksum verification, and a global infrastructure designed for redundancy, MASV ensures your files arrive at Dropbox intact, every single time.

Do I have to remain on the download page while my file transfers to Dropbox?

No. If you leave the download page, the transfer will continue in the background. However, you will not be able to monitor the progress or be notified if there is a problem.

Do transfers to Dropbox count toward the MASV Download Limit? Will they be locked out once the limit is reached?

Yes, transfers to Dropbox are counted the same as if a user chose to download the files to local storage. Once the download limit has been reached it will prevent new downloads via the browser or to Dropbox.

Does downloading to Dropbox support Dropbox Teams?

Yes. Users can download to either a Personal Dropbox account or a Team (Business) account. Personal users will see a “MASV” folder in their Apps directory, while Team users will see this appear under the logged in user’s directory (ie. Team Name/John Smith/Apps/MASV/).

Does the MASV and Dropbox integration work with Portals?

Yes, you can connect Dropbox to a MASV Portal so that all Portal deliveries are automatically uploaded to Dropbox cloud storage.
